Steve was a class act. He has obviously spent a lot of time finding the best RVs to rent for a great price. Very, very knowledgeable and experienced. We were looking at a near new Thor vs the Bounder that was a Diesel Pusher. So glad we chose the higher quality coach. Steve had prompt responses to text messaging before, during and after our trip. Also very fair and flexible to work with. At the end of the trip when we needed to settle up for our incidentals, he was generous. This was the first RV experience for our family and I would, without hesitation, recommend his services to anyone. If and when we look to rent an RV in the future, it will be from Steve at Carefree Coach.

Here is what one customer said about this camper:

Jason was a great communicator. He was always quick to respond. The van has a sink, stove, storage and a decent size refrigerator, all in really good working order. The bed is a Ikea couch that folds down. It is comfortable enough. Our daughter slept on the back seat with a thermal rest that we brought and she said she was comfortable. Jason has a bunk option for the front of the van that is ingenious, but my daughter didn't want to use it. The AC in the van only works when the van is on and only works in the back. It makes for hot driving if it is warm out. The van gets great gas milage, which was a big plus.

Here is what one customer said about this camper:

This was my first Outdoorsy RV rental experience and it was perfect! Hats off to Matt Smedley for making is so great. Matt was helpful, supportive, a great communicator via email and attentive to my needs before, during and after my RV trip. I am sold! I enjoyed the RV rental experience so much, I plan to do it again in Colorado later this summer. Matt's Winnebago Mini was perfect. I have rented massive, expensive, 38' and 42' RV's in the past and I prefer simple, smaller and nimbler RV's like Matt's 24' Mini Winni! I was able to get in and out of any situation easily. Matt's RV was stocked with everything I needed from sheets, pillows, towels, bathroom & kitchen essentials and he rented very nice outdoor fold up chairs and couches. Most important, Matt rented a Goal Zero Solar charger. This was a saviour for me. I was able to charge iPhone's, MiFi device, cameras, GoPro's, Drone's, Wonderboom Speaker and my laptop. (#workhardplayhard) Thanks Matt! PS - I rented the RV for the FireFly Music Festival. I was filming one of the bands. It rained one the first day, so two of the Band Dancer's asked if they could share the RV. I couldn't refuse. The Mini-Winni Sleeps 5, so plenty of room! (see photo's) 😉

Here is what one customer said about this camper:

We rented for a triathlon race weekend, the first night without any hookups and the second at a KOA with full hookups. Both nights, the RV was reliable and met our comfort needs. The external awning had been damaged by a previous renter, so it was not usable for our trip. But, Jennifer explained everything and we were able to park at our first site so that we had shade from the RV itself. This was a great rental experience.

5 State Parks in New York

1. Niagara Falls State Park

The first and probably the most well-known worldwide. Consider taking the Maid of the Mist Boat Tour for the full experience–just make sure to wear a raincoat. While you can certainly see the magnificent falls from the American side, bring a passport if you have one and take a look from the Canadian side as well. While this state park isn’t known for the hiking trails, swimming holes or massive trees, taking a family photo under a giant rainbow is reason to visit.

2. Allegany State Park

The largest state park in New York extends all the way to Pennsylvania. There are 18 hiking trails in this park, and most of them take at least half a day to complete. The space is so massive that it is split up into two separate areas; The Quaker Area and the Red House Area. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you, but don’t plan on seeing too much of it unless you designate a lengthy amount of time.

3. Jones Beach State Park

Most visited state park on Long Island. The bustling beach is filled with tourists, city folk and of course the Long Island locals. If you are a music lover, be sure to check the event calendar for the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater where some of the top touring acts in the business make their annual stops. Be sure you are driving the speed limit when entering and exiting the long road as the law enforcement is sure to hand out speeding tickets like ice cream cones all summer long.

4. Walkway Over the Hudson State Park

A newly renovated, yet very historic state park with beautiful views of the Hudson River. You will likely have trouble finding a flatter walk in an upstate NY park as this walkway was once the longest bridge in the world upon opening for operation in 1899. Lots of great restaurants in the area as well as the Culinary Institute of America if you want to grab some grub where the future chefs are learning their craft. After your adventure check out nearby New Paltz for an eclectic art town with great shopping and even more food!

5. Watkins Glen State Park

If you only have a few hours to visit the Finger Lakes, this gem should be your first destination. The hundreds of stairs you will take in this park are worth the climb as you will take pictures of dozens of waterfalls along the way. Try to get there early as this park stays packed for the majority of the year.

5 Attractions in New York

Take a ferry to the island or view the statue from Battery Park, but make sure to take a peek at one of the most photographed sites in the entire country. Whether seeing Lady Liberty for the first time or making your annual trip, it is sure to give you a sense of America pride.

Catch a breeze on the hottest days of summer or wear your extra pair of gloves during winter because this world renowned zipline is open all year long. Experience the longest, fastest, highest zipline canopy in all of North America and the second largest zipline in the world.

3. The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt in Hyde Park

The Hudson Valley is full of history but one of the best places to start is this National Historic Site in Hyde Park. The tour of the park is approximately 1 hour and the only way to see the home is by guided tour so make sure to plan accordingly and witness a piece of presidential past.

4. The New York State Museum

Browse the history of the entire state with a limited amount of time. This center for art, science, and culture is dedicated to exploring the human and natural history of the Empire State. Located at the southern end of the architecturally magnificent Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller State Plaza, this museum welcomes visitors from across the globe.
