Joshua has been really friendly, helpful and patient with us since we had some trouble booking the van. He even picked us up the airport! The van was absolutly lovely and you really felt home. Great van, fun to drive around the island. Difficult for two people to sleep comfortably in, but a fun experience nonetheless. The van had some quirks like the gas gauge and the rear window not working. It came with everything you need to rough it around Maui, including sheets, pillows, sleeping pads, cooler, plates/utensils, beach chairs, etc. Overall, a fun way to experience the island!

Had so much fun with this little van! No issues on the road to Hana or to up to the Haleakala crater, very good on gas. The Maui guidebook was a great resource and the guest book too. It was enough space for myself, doubled up on sleeping pads and blankets/ sleeping bags were warm enough for a night at Hosmer campground. Thanks to all the drivers before who left bits and pieces like sunscreen, stove, paper towels etc. It all came very handy. And thank you to Dennis and Cassandra!

Cole was super friendly and offered lots of suggestions. I would definitely rent this vehicle again! Comes with cook stove, cooking gear, chairs, and an extra tent and inflatable mattress.

Here is what one customer said about this camper:

My girlfriend surprised me by renting Gypsea during our recent trip to Maui. What a wonderful car!! I've owned various Beetles and even a Type 3 Vw Squareback but never owned or ever driven a Volkswagen Bus. Sure she was slow going uphill and sometimes took a few tries to pop into 2nd gear but that’s part of her charm. Her brakes squeaked at times but stops on a dime and her windshield wipers worked perfect when we encountered a bit of rain driving around. What a truly enjoyable time we had parked next to the beach and having lunch in Gypsea's cabin with the riviera pop top open for the breeze to come in. Driving Gypsea around Maui to me is the way to truly enjoy the island. We had a wonderful time with her and got lots of smiles and waves from everyone! Anytime we parked somewhere we got approached by someone wanting to ask about the VW. I could go on and on about it but as you can tell from the other reviews renting Gypsea will add that special something to your vacation in Maui.
